Tips for properly furnishing your interior
Hello hello 👋🏻
We meet today to address a new theme: that of layout! 🤓
And yes, you may have a sudden urge for change. Or are you even buying/building your house? 😌
So let's go for some advice on the layout of your little cocoon! 😃
PS: & as usual, if you have not read our last article, I put you the link below ⬇️
Tip n°1: Define your needs and desires
Before going to DIY or decoration stores, it is important to define your desires and needs.
So sit quietly on your sofa and make a list of the things you already have in your possession but also the things you miss: starting with materials, furniture, decoration, etc. Evaluate the elements that you can reuse and even renovate according to the style you want to define in your new house/apartment.
And like that, you will also save money! 😌
Tip n°2: Maximise at your best spaces
When your little list of desires / needs is made, you must optimize the spaces as well as possible. How?
First, clear the spaces such as corridor, entrance, so that they are not cluttered and that you have an effect of scale. Beware of furniture that could overload these spaces.
Next, define the role of each room. Of course, this seems obvious for the kitchen, the living room or even the bedrooms. But also think about the functionality of the desktop; Perhaps this one could also serve as a guest room? As for the bathroom, is it possible to make a laundry area? In short, take the time to think carefully about each room. 🤓
Finally, exploit the spaces that could be lost: make a bookcase, a closet or even a doghouse under the stairs, create storage in height, ...
Your rooms will be optimized! 😃

Tip n°3: Choose the right furniture
- The living room will need to be ventilated so choose furniture with several features (sofa bed, coffee table with the possibility of storing the ottomans underneath, ...).
- The kitchen will require plenty of storage (high and low furniture, built-in cupboards under the worktop).
- For the bedroom, choose your bed according to the size of the room (a king size bed is good if your room is rather spacious) and remember to exploit the spaces under your bed.
- Finally, the column cabinet remains a classic for the bathroom ☺️

Define the style of your property: rather industrial, cocooning, Scandinavian, bohemian ... As well as your color palette. Choose light colors for small rooms & darker for larger ones.
You can also affix mirrors to enlarge the living room for example.
Opt for clean walls with a few frames and souvenir photos, but be careful not to overload them.
Change your décor with the seasons: a plaid on the sofa in winter, an outdoor lounge on the terrace in summer...
Finally lighting has a very important role, it will set the tone of the room (suspension, wall sconces, ...).
And it is on these few decoration tips that our article ends ... We leave you with our FAQ just below 😜
Frequently Asked Questions 💬
💬 For storage, which depth should be preferred?
It all depends on the use, but it is necessary to count at least 40 cm deep, and at least 60 cm for kitchen furniture & wardrobes. ☺️
💬 Is there a number of colors not to exceed in the same room?
In general, it is advisable not to exceed more than 3 colors in a room. The ideal is also to harmonize the whole with the furniture. 🙂
